Over the years, the Stowe Street Arts Festival had shined a spotlight on Vermont artists and our wonderful community of Waterbury. This year, we wanted to hit home how amazing our community is – and help celebrate the 250th birthday of Waterbury – by changing our name.
We are proud to introduce to you the Waterbury Arts Fest!
Shakespeare said, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet,” and he was mostly right. Our name is new, but our festival will still be in the same location and we’re still aiming to showcase the highest quality, most original artwork and entertainment Vermont has to offer. However, we’re not stopping there!
For 2013 we are planning some great celebratory additions to our fest, including a brand new Friday Night program that will feature rockin’ live music and a festive street party. And Saturday, we hope to have the best selection of artwork and entertainment that we’ve ever had! So while our rose has a new name, we plan to smell sweeter than ever!
So mark your calendars for Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 – you do not want to miss this!!
If you are interested in getting involved, we would LOVE to hear from you! We have wonderful sponsorship opportunities and welcome any and all volunteers to our committee. We are also now accepting artists to participate on Saturday. If you would like to join us, please contact our Event Coordinator, Meg Schultz – firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or click here for our printable Artist Agreement.
