Beautiful Things/Antiquities

About the Artist

I create one-of-a-kind pewter jewelry. My work is influenced by the classic beauty of Mesopotamian jewelry made from the 8-12c AD. Artisans of this period produced ornate, openwork pieces with symbolic figures, icons and anthropomorphic figures. My process begins with mold making. Each piece hardens, is cleaned and hand finished from the raw casting. I use a magnetic tumbler to finish the final piece to a soft luster.
