About the Artist

I am a porcelain artist with over 2 years of experience in creating functional and decorative pottery, as well as deep knowledge of ceramic chemistry. All of my work begins with self designed and produced clay and personally developed glazes. Pieces are made in a combination of wheel-thrown, carved, and hand-built styles, and include surface decoration from crystal glazes and underglaze sgraffito. My work is inspired by the natural world of Vermont- animals, landscapes, trees, and even the elusive plants of the bog! For me, creating pottery is about sharing the joy and beauty of life through a functional piece of art.
